I have been recently diagnosed with COPD. Last week a blood test showed my white court high, 16. Is there a correlation?

I was same few weeks ago high white cell count after blood test when feeling unwell was infiction but antibodies and steroids sorted it out hopefully you recover soon Smikra and keep well..best wishes Ger

Hi my white cell count varies from 14 to the highest it’s been 38 it’s been like this for years , but normally it does indicate infection you take care

I had a low white blood count for a few years. They never found out why but it is now in normal range. If you have concerns please ask your doctor on your next visit. Wishing you well. xx 🍀

Steroids can do this if you have been on them x

Hi....a high white blood usually means a infection. But, many medications can also cause this. If you feel ill or get a fever, call your GP, it's best to be safe.

Hi I'm foxy79 I have serve copd respiratory type 2 asthma broncechtisis emphysema I'm on oxygen nebulizer and bipeb and colomicine and to get the white court down you need lots of fresh air and bibep machine that's corbondixide that's what I call white cell and sorry I been through that and it gets worse know it's better cause I have bibep machine and that helps it and I have been maintaing it when it goes up and down I suffer with chest infection and end up in hospital I hope that will help you thanks
