Hello! I also have bronchiectasis and a hiatus hernia. I am treated for gastric reflux which my consultant believes probably caused the problems with my chest. I find the best thing is to have small meals and avoid anything overly fatty or rich. I do have an occasional chinese or indian meal but always have these early in the evening. We have our main meal between 5.00 pm and 6.00 pm usually and don't go to bed until about 11pm. It definitely causes me problems if I eat late. Also, don't overdo alcohol. This can make it more likely for reflux to occur. As for the bronchiectasis, the general rule of thumb seems to be to eat as healthily as you can afford and manage.

Good luck with managing your conditions. You will get lots of help on here. xx Moy
