Does loss of oxygen effect Memory and Speech
Hi. What are your oxygen levels like? If levels are very low you might experience forgetfulness/confusion. It might be worth keeping a bit of a diary so you can show the doctor the sorts of things that are concerning you.
Thats what I thought. My GP says not the problem. When at rest 93-97. Exercise 88-90, meaning walking. I did keep a log . I am having a hard time getting my pft test done. It will be two years in April since last one. I am going to go to a pulmonary doctor as he does not answer any of my questions. Very evasive. Thank you for replying to my question.
Greetings
Much depends on your oxygen levels. If they fall significantly, your internal organs will start to feel the pinch, including your brain, which really dislikes oxygen starvation. Get someone to check your SATs.

Thank you. I knew that, but because my GP does not agree with me, that low levels might be causing my confusion or memory loss. Or confusion. What is then? Does not even give a suggestion as to what else it could be. I am finally convinced I need to go to a pulmonary doctor.
I have IPF and mild Dementia and certainly when my oxygen levels are low the dementia signs are worse. My words become lost and I forget how to do things. Once the oxygen levels rise I am much better. All good wishes.
