Just been told by my GP that I potentially have this condition. A small something showed up on a CT scan in Jan 2018 and I'm petrified. Im taking prednisalone at the moment. Just had 3 days of a 5 day course. Anyone advise of what might happen next? I'm being referred to a lung specialist. Thank you x

Hello Sooziesoo66 .
Welcome to the forum. It's so natural to feel petrified. All of us felt that way too. Please, try not to panic. And stay away from Google. It really doesn't help at all. 😔
I am very glad you are seeing a specialist. Please bring along all the questions and worries you have to discuss at your appointment.
We all have adjusted to learn to live with our conditions. In time, you will too. 😊 Please take heart. It will be okay.
Sending best wishes.

Hi Sooziesoo66
Try not to worry to much, I was diagnosed with IPF some years ago and life still goes on, the best you can do is try to get some gentle exercise and enjoy life, nothing you have been told means that life is over so get your questions answered and see what the experts have to say
Sorry I appreciate its a shock. Eat well, vitamins fruit and veg lots of water, 5 a day etc will all serve to help you stay healthy. Cant stress the 5 a day enough, one can be a smoothie or fruit juice, vitamin D3 and C are the important ones a specialist is iron. Lung specialist will help you and give you ideas about the right exercises to do, medication etc. Ask if there is a support group in your area they usually have them in clinics or care centres etc.
