These silly 2 are Lolly (golden one, aged 8), and Ruby (black one, aged 2).
I know they look cute and innocent but they are actually terrible. They eat everything! Bark frequently, smell terrible (I can't smell though so that doesn't matter!) and loose more hair than you could imagine. My hoover is in frequent use. They knock everything over withnthand or tails and love rolling in mud!
For some reason I still love them though so let them share our house. BTW in this photo you can't see but my husband has been made to sit on th bean bag so the dogs can stay on the sofa!

I gotcha, I’ve got 175lbs worth of dogs in my bed every morning and night: 100lb male, 75 female. But like my husband has always said,” that’s what makes home home. Our old pack consisted of a mommy , daddy and one of their pups. When the first one passed it was a domino effect: the next year the next one went and then the same the following. The 2 I have now some days it’s hard because I know they’re not going to live long enough. I lay on bed w/my girl and whisper in her ear” don’t forget you promised to stay with me for 20years. I love her so much and the shedding fur that’s trapped everywhere from curtain seams to window tracks is small (I guess) in comparison to all the love and support she gives-AND she knows how to hug me back. At our old house they shared the couches and on more than one occasion people came over and said”why are your dogs on the couch”? And my reply was simply”because it’s their house “. Our dogs don’t run our life cuz we figure w/out them we wouldn’t have a full life
Oh Sandyeggo a woman after my own heart. Cats and dogs I've had over the years have not only given me so much love, they've given me the joy of feeling love. We do need to love. I'll probably end up a babbling old woman hugging a teddy bear.
Years ago an acquaintance (who wanted to be a friend ) called in. She thought my little tricolour Cavalier King Charles should be put in the kitchen while she was here. When I refused she said " Oh, it's a case of love me, love my dog is it ?" I said
"Yes I'm afraid it is, you see he lives here and you don't" I wasn't going to betray that little dog's loyalty for a bigot like her. Sheila x
