Oh just came out today on my Lymphangioleiomyomatosis forum..
Sorry about that x
I missed the earlier post, so thanks, Fran. I feel entitled to feel tired now! Amazing really xx
Yes we must be but remember we have to stay active 😃, that’s the dilemma!!
Are you up again Penny? I just woke up I didn’t try that zopiclonum, I’ll make herbal tea..I was in bed so early..by 9, so tired..xx
Oh, stay active! That really I my dilemma and New Year's resolution! I had an early night too....got worn out at my mother's 98th birthday party!! 🎉 I left her dozing in her armchair, with her 'birthday girl' rosette pinned to her dressing gown! I think she had a good day 🙃! But having got to bed, I didn't sleep, just read for ages. But must have dropped off because just woken! I'm too tired to sort and concentrate on a meditation so I'll probably drift off again soon. At least my headache has gone...thinking might have been the probiotics. I was a bit concerned for you on the zopiclonum (?) but with further medical advice, maybe possible? See how we go...I'll just have another sip of my cool water and lie back for a while. I can no longer tolerate herbal teas, or any tea, it has become an asthma trigger. My comfort drink these days is a cup of hot milky whipped Green and Blacks cocoa...soothing, drunk through a steel straw (!) and makes me feel as though I'm helping my osteopenia. It takes all sorts! Night night for now 💕🌟🌹 xx
Bravo for your Mum at 98!!! 💕Glad the headaches stopped.
Well I didn’t take the zopiclonum last night. I read the notice it is contraindicated for apnea but the dosage the doctor gave me is light. Anyway if I can avoid it.. I thought I’ll have the sleep yogi tea with a teaspoon of honey my throat was dry. Asking another doctor? They all have contradictory opinions 😃 plus I would have to pay again!
I still don’t know if I have a small pneumothorax or not as the respiratory specialist didn’t want to do an xray. I walked back from town with my shopping yesterday I could feel my poor thorax, had to stop and take 2 panadol. I tell you every country has its problems. I just pop in the Prednisone hoping the pain finally lessens. The LAM helpline said if it worsens go to hospital, well it hasn’t. I am presently laying down on my heating pad listening to Trump’s new outburst on the news.
Green and Blacks cocoa sounds lovely but I don’t digest hot milk! We make a right pair 👯♀️. I have osteopenia too!!
Have a good catch-up sleep 💤 💤
Fran xx
Yes, a right pair 👯♀️!! I hope your thorax pain settles without needing a hospital visit., I do so hate hospitals...I try every which way not to go there, for myself at least, which is not always sensible, I know. The sleep has eluded me, so giving up now. News on tv next, maybe to hear the latest Trump rant!! 😵😵 Have a good day, Fran xx
😂..so do I ..talking about hospitals reading yesterday’s Times. The only paper we get in the village and one day late! I like the xword and Bea the Sudoku, then we share the codeword 😃
So accusatory letter from the CEO of Cancer Research about cuts to cancer care owing to staff shortages like radiologists..It is the same in France, all over the news at the moment..
Here in Switzerland, they just pass you over to the private sector if needed but they have a constant shortage of doctors and staff. Most of them are foreigners, commuters, of course salaries are attractive but the way of life is expensive so cheaper to live over the boarder in France, Germany or Italy.
Justine, Dad’s agency nurse has finally had some offers, so I am pleased for her..she commutes from Annecy..
Enjoy the news xx
Fran
I’m glad you can get hold of the Times and keep in touch with us all. I’m with Bea, I tackle the sudoku first! I mainly read the news online these days though I sometimes think I miss quite a lot compared with paper copies. I’m well versed on the headlines but have to search through various sections for the rest and don’t always bother. The depressing news about hospitals and health services continues. It’s worrying wondering how inefficient it will get before something substantial is done. Our Health Secretary looks the happiest chappie in the government....it’s all going over his head. We have a weak Prime Minister...she tried to sack him but he wouldn’t go...never heard anything like it!!
Sleep time again now....hopefully. Hoping you’ve had a good day. 🦋🧚🏻♀️🌺xx
Hello Penny,
I like books and paper copies, I am an old-fashioned girl 😃 I like to flick through the paper and go back to articles of interest.
Sorry about the hospital and health news..By the way as I saw Ben’s post I ordered a bunch of leaflets from BLF and got a mail there are on their way.
There is one on apnea I will be interested to read.
I have been catching up on the tv programmes I missed, It gave my back a rest, but I managed to walk to town again yesterday. I like to go to the tea-room as they call the café here for lunch it makes a break before the road back. It is 1.8km there and back but I don’t rush 😃
Lunch is always homemade, good and reasonable. And Monika the waitress told me she was expecting. That was good news. I needed good news to begin the year with.
If not I’m waiting on the Swiss to issue Dad’s death certificate, they didn’t like his handwritten birth certificate dated 1929, said it wasn’t comformed to EU regulations! So Bea went to the town hall as I would have got annoyed I think, she knows how not to offend bureaucrats I get all emotional😉
They didn’t want to give her an answer, she told them we want to put my grandfather to rest and the burial is in Paris on the 29th. He wanted to be next to his wife.
Would you believe that?? I may have to get in touch with the French Consulate on Monday if I don’t hear.
Have a good weekend Penny xx

Hi Fran 🦋 Lovely to hear your news...almost a ‘Day in the life of’ article..I always like those! Your walk to and from the village soundslike ideal exercise, with a lovely lunch too, and a chat with local friendsWise and lucky you! We’re in such a remotespot, walking for practical purposes not possible. Hopingto move house before long, and that is one of our criteria, for health and happiness reasons! I think I’ll go now before this column disappears altogether. Hope you can read it. Have a good day, Fran. We’ll catch up later. Hopingthe beaurocracy aroundyour Dad’s passing sorts out soon, for you and Bea. Love 💕🧚🏻♀️🧚🏻♀️👯♀️ Penny
Ahhhhhhhh your comments disappear too..you know what I do: I select all and copy as I go because it really bothers me when I have written a whole column and it goes 😃
Yes it was good to walk, weather was beautiful today, crisp and sunny.
You do well to move then..it will be a bit far for me as I get older and can’t walk but it is a ground floor flat with a garden, and we have a caretaker who is a good handyman, that comes so useful as I can’t drive and I am useless. I’ll have to take a taxi into town then if Bea is away.
Now I’m watching football!! ⚽️🥅⚽️ with a nice mug of tea!!
See you Penny!!! Xx
Fran
Not really good news for us, to learn yet another reason to have healthy lungs, given that our lungs are already so badly damaged, but thank you for the info. xx
I can see your point. We can’t shy away from knowledge..I feel better knowing why than living in anxiety..xx
