We had a female budgie our youngest daughter asked for on her 5th birthday. It was a lovely shade of yellow she insisted on calling Jeffrey As she aged she lost the ability to fly very well but her cage door was always open and she would flop out onto the arm chair below and wander around on the floor. I worked full time and sometimes couldnt find her when I came home home but our cat would lead me to her , one time she was on the clothes maiden and another time inside the sleeve of a jacket hung on a door . They became best buddies
