Had ct scan done in December which shows pleuritic thickening & scarring. Referral to thoracic medicine but when I rang they said 21 months. What should I do, having pain & tired. Spiromitry tests were all into normal range. Really frightened and dont know where to turn.

Are you in the UK Mismatch? If you are then you can ring the BLF Helpline during office hours and ask for their advice. 03000 030 555. I hope something can be done for you a bit quicker than that.

Ok. Thanks for reply. X

I don’t get it 21 months for an appointment?? Ask for another hospital, you can’t wait that long..

Hold on to the fact that Spirometry tests were normal. It is a good indicator. In the meantime ask your GP to push for a faster appointment and get medicine for the pain.

As Mrs Mummy said phone the helpline tomorrow.

Take care x
