I was diagnosed with bronchiestasis 12 months ago after being treated for copd for years because I said I used to smoke a few cigs more than 30 years ago paid to see private consultant as was getting worse as time was going on was diagnosed with chronic asthma my GP reluctantly sent me for scan as I said I would pay private to go for one that.s when I found out I had bronchiectasis been treated for the wrong thing for years but still have not been referred to specialist as of yet...
