How about a hot water bottle filled with cold water? Or a wheat pillow which has been put in the freezer?

Hi Tweety, l would go back to your GP and get him to run some tests to find a cause. Good luck to you. Xxxx

You wouldn't have Planter's Fasciitis ( probably spelt incorrectly), would you ? Aching, sore feet and sometimes a burning sensation ? I had this once for a few months and it was very troublesome. Best relief of all was from a jumbo packet of frozen peas - bought specially for this - placed in a dish under the desk or table I was using, and aching feet left resting on them until they got numb.

Hi tweety I used to have this problem. I talked to my doctor and she looked at what medication I was on. At the time I was on ramipril blood pressure tablets she said this could be causing it. She changed my pills and the burning stopped. Don’t know if this will help. Barbs.

I had also taken ramipril for some time. If you do a search ramipril and burning feet there is quite a bit of information. Barbs.

I get this and as we are both on here would guess we have similar conditions.

I have found that it only affects me in bed at night and sleep with my feet out of the covers now and luckily ok most of the time.

In the past I actually thought my feet were cold not hot and slept with my slippers on this worked a treat, weird isn't it? Try wearing some socks maybe I known that your feet feel hot but they aren't I believe it's a nerve thing, I know some people have a similar condition in their hands that make them shake and wearing light cotton gloves controls it.

Maybe worth a try. You have my best wishes 😉

I get a mild version of something similar and have been diagnosed with Lymphodema (its a waste disposal system a few millimetres below the skin and drains crap to the Lymphatic system for disposal via, I assume, liver and kidneys. It is tested for using a 'doppler' test which measures the relative speed of flow in the channels. Caused by age really, the ducts get slack and block. Exercise helps but I walk the dog four times a day so I doubt that is an issue in my case. getting you feet above your head (lying down is easiest LOL) for 20 minutes midday seems to help. I am told it does not kill but if bad can lead to disability. Back to the GP I suggest.

Hello,

I have the same problem also get it in my legs. Dr, diagnosed a very rare condition called ERYITHRAMYALGIA. this was confirmed by a Rhumatologist.

Trial and error with various meds. but nothing seems to help There is a web site and you will find a lot of info.

I hope this will help.

Hi I get this as well. I always have my feet out from the covers. I have also found raising the foot of the bed (or putting feet up on a couple of pillows) helps and also a Boots Reviving Foot Spray (costs about £3.50) helps to instantly cool them. Fortunately I seem to suffer mainly at nght but the foot spray helps during the day too. Hope this is helpful.
