You might have virus LAST virus i had caused lots asthma like attacks.

A think am over worse with help help of courses of antibiitics.

I never knew virus in throat could causes bad bouts of breathless BUT now i know it can.

I was reading throat infections need longer course of antibiotcs.

I would go see your doctor usally bouts breathless could be virus / infection

Hi Alexis, I too have asthma, so I understand how it can get out of control sometimes. Is your sputum green or dark yellow? if not is not infected. Have you used your Peak Flow? is it low for you. If you are having problems with breathing with no infection you still need to seek help. Your inhalers may need changing. You can use your blue reliever inhaler up to 8 times a day but I feel if you are already using it 5 times and your breathing has not steadied there is something else that needs attention. Take your PF reading and ring the doc for an appointment. I am sure you will feel better soon. Take care Maximonkey

Hi less500, do you have a blue inhaler together with another inhaler? Or do you only have the blue? When you say you switched to a name brand drug as well, what do you mean? Take care Maximonkey

Hi Alexis, hope all is well today. If your asthma is not under control you really need to see the doc, however, if like me you have had an infection and the asthma flared up, then a slight increase in inhalers was maybe all you needed. If you still are having problem with breathing you may need a different script such as more steroids or different inhalers. Take care and let us know how you get on. Maximonkey
