Unless you have an active infection & are feeling unwell, yes I believe so. I've had it many times whilst on pred. The nurse should ask you, before the jab, whether you're feeling ok today.
Do you mean your not supposed to have a flu jab if your not well, cos I had one last week and I have a chest infection. I was actually taking my grandson for his when I happened to mention to the nurse that I hadn't had mine yet this year because of having chest infection after chest infection. Anyway she said while your here I may as well give you yours. I'm still poorly now, didn't realise it could make you worse. The nurse should have known that then? Anyway to late it's done. Just need infection to clear up now.
There is a special flu jab for people on pred I am having that one.
I didn't know that. Do I have to request especially?

Same as for children you ask for the inactivated jab.
All flu vaccines are inactivated nhs.uk/Livewell/winterhealt...
My son has just finished a course of pred and we've been told to wait at least two weeks before getting the flu jab.
I had mine while on them
i had an apt for flu jab 2day, i suffer with copd im on 8tabs of 5mg pred taken in 1 dose daily +antibiotics, ive just rung my surgery and they cancelled my flu jab because they said that the prednisolone would weaken the strength of the flu jab
Ah interesting..I am on a low dosage of prednisone because of adrenal glands insufficiency so I have a special flu vaccination this year! Hope it works!
I'm on prednisolone permanently and just have the normal flu jab. I had it this year, early September and had no side effects. Also, I was on two antibiotics at the time, still on another one! Joy.
