Mum brought us up as dad was always away with the army. As his postings were less than 12 months each time, the family didn't follow so we staying in garrison town (Aldershot) till we moved to London

I guess it's better to settle in one place rather than being moved around a lot still they both worked hard I'm sure ...my mum passed when I was 9 so my dad raised us girls the boys were all in the older part of the family x

Lovely photo, you look so sweet - you're so lucky to have brothers and sisters, my brother died when he was 22 after an appendix op'. Your lovely Mum must have had her hands full, but I bet she had some wonderful memories of her children.
