I just have no idea why ... I just hope and pray that these antibiotics work!
If not, off to the hospital on Sat. I sound like a really old man who's been smoking 2 packs a day! (No offence to any old men out there)π Feel like I'm drowning. My first exazerbation!
Sure hope all is well with you all.

Are you bringing up sputem? If so I can't understand why your GP hasn't sent off a sputum sample. You don't say over what period you have had 7 courses, not what condtion you have.
Yes I am coughing up sputum. The doc has me going here there and every where
She is pretty dilegent I have a standing order with the lab. I am 67 have bronchiectasis I've had it now for 35 years. Wasn't until I went and I saw a specialist and was told better stop smoking or you're going to die. I stop smoking. Haven't smoked since 33. Fully expected because I had stopped smoking that I would never have a problem with my lungs! Right...
However this summer has been rough because (and I'm not exaggerating) thick fog but it's smoke! It's so bad that people literally cannot breathe this is all due to forest fires raging throughout British Columbia. Thank God we did not get a lot of smokey days! Amazon benifitted... bought the giant pkg. Of N-95 masks.i have been long winded. Thanks for your reply.
So glad you have stopped smoking. Bronchiectasis is not caused by smoking, so although great you have stopped it will not cure your damaged lungs.
As you have been sending in samples do you know what bacteria you are growing and any indication as to what it is sensitive to? I also cannot understand why you specialist hasn't referred you to learn mucus clearance from your lungs, especially after 35 years. It might be the best option for you to go into hospital and possibly have some IVs but I hope they inform you of the best way to keep your bronch on an even keel.
