Newly diagnosed with emphysema.

I saw consultant at hospital who advised a CT scan has shown moderate emphysema. It was a Colon consultant who wasn't able to or didn't want to expand on this. Told me to see my GP but he's on holiday so I'm quite stressed as I can't see him until the end of the month. I also have cardiovascular disease. Anyone able to offer some advice

Try not to worry too much about the diagnosis your not alone I have trivial emphysema for 16 months now and it has only got slightly worse but fortunately I walk the dogs every day and I think this is good therapy and I've cut down slightly on the cigarettes

I believe there isn't any medication for this at least I wasn't given any

See my reply to a previous question this week. You're exercising so give up the fags and you will stay well much longer there is no doubt about it. Good luck. Also no one will convince me vaping is safe for damaged lungs
