Hello everyone. I am new here. Last year was diagnosed with IPF. , now possible NSIP no medication as yet. Having problems staying awake after a meal, does anyone else find the same and what over problems experienced?

I have nonspecific interstitial pneumonitis. Is yours this or with 'pneumonia' at the end?

I don't sleep after eating as eating makes me cough! Not sure which I would prefer really 😜

Hello Georgina.

Mine is pneumonia. I only appear to cough after doing anything really physical like hanging out the washing, and sometimes if I have been laughing. Biggest problem I have at present, is forgetting I am short of breath and start something which then takes me twice as long as have to keep stopping and starting.

How long ago were you diagnosed and are you on oxygen?

Hi I'm pneumonitis not pneumonia. I'm on Prednisolone and fostair inhaler plus lanoprazole and ranitidine.

Been diagnosed just over 3 months although it's 2 years since I got symptoms after 3 viruses. I was told I had asthma and then s habit cough.

Cough more on waking. Lots of phlegm, not a dry cough. In my case I think anxiety doesn't help.

I think everyone is so different but it's good to be able to speak to someone who has something similar. xx

thank you Ladies. nice to be able to chat to people who have the same condition or one similar. one thing I have noticed, how cold I have become. Even during that warm weather, I wore a cardigan as cold at times and had a runny nose. most annoying.
