Advice with motability allowance

My husband has severe copd and since having endobronchial valves inserted into one lung has deteriorated. He can no longer get out at all and gets seriously SOB with slightest exertion. He is 63 and we have sold our business due to his condition. His consultant is not that positive about any improvement. What help is he entitled to, if any? Thank you.

Hi

As time is running out for PIP.

I would speak to the benefits advisor at BLF 03000 030 555

Speak tomorrow.

As advised I would go for an immediate PIP claim, plus a blue badge if you don't have one. If you are lucky with the claim it opens the way to get other help including things like housing rebates even if your an home owner. Plus warmhome heating allowances. Best Wishes.

Thank you. We have just received his blue badge - unfortunately, does not feel well enough to go out in the car to use it yet!!

I would advise to get in touch with your local Carers Resource Office, with local Council. they are really helpful in these things. I know from Experience over the last couple of years, good luck
