Fab little caravan Don, love it. You'll be around for a good few years yet. Xxxxx
Excellent rhyming as per that man maybe skis should join you on one your trips ...i reckon the the two of you would make a lovley pair of companions and he's not wet between the ears but he does like a rum n something xxxx
I would do it myself if I had one. We seem to have an epedemic of homeless people living in them in Portland Oregon but they don't have current tags and are constantly being towed only to be replaced a few days later.
Unfortunately that happens over here as well. I realise how lucky I am to be able to enjoy a comfortable home as well being able to travel.
We are about to buy our third caravan in two years! The first one the layout wasn't right for us and the fridge would only work on EHU and gas which was no good for keeping my medication cool while travelling. The one we have now the layout is good and the fridge works, but we had it stolen by traveller, and although we got it back relatively undamaged, all the contents were taken including Alfie's dog toys and my husband's underwear!!!! It hasn't deterred me from caravanning, but not in this van. It feels violated! We are going to the caravan show in October, just looking you know.,
I wish I was clever enough to have written the above in rhyme!
My rhyming isn't clever helenlw7 Luv, it's just a knack I didn't know I had until I came on here last January. It was when my dog Midge was very poorly, on a drip at the vets, and I wasn't well myself. Midge wasn't cooperating with the vet nurses and I thought I was going to lose her. So I parked my camper in the vets car park and we stayed in that, with frequent visits in the vets until she started eating again. The support I got from here was wonderful and we were soon ourselves again. I so grateful for that support that felt I must try and do something in return. That's how it all started, my efforts to try and cheer up the poorly folk here.
You've been very unlucky with your caravans, pinching Alfie's toys is as low as it gets. Men don't get that fond of their underwear in my experience. The caravan I had before the campervan was a Bailey Orion 400/2, I chose that mainly because it was the only small caravan with a full sized shower cabinet, most have to share with the toilet and wash-hand basin. If you are looking for a small 2 berth I can highly recommend them. I bought mine new, but there are plenty of good used ones. I wish that I had kept mine now.
Bravo, my late husband and I stared with a very old camper van which we thoroughly enjoyed with grandchildren we owned about 3 different ones until because of skeletal problems meant he could no longer drive them (they were heavy and we couldn't afford a new one) I can no longer drive because of problems with my eyes but I do envy you carry on camping and enjoying as long as you can. Wish you well I also have COPD.
