Wishing you the very best luck....its definitely a do-able thing to give up. Being on a specific support group is such a good idea and perhaps now after several years of trying to quit, you seem to sound more positive. I say this as I've quickly read some of your previous posts. It took me umpteen attempts to quit and when the time was right for me,I managed to stop. I take each day at a time and maybe that's the way I "cope"?

Please keep us informed, won't you. Good luck.

Good luck πŸ˜‰. I am now smoke free for 8 weeks. It's a rollercoaster 🎒 but well worth it. Just go day to day or ,in my case , minute to minute.

Best of luck. X

Well done. :)

Thanks πŸ™. It's more like a miracle after 43 years of cigarettes but, it was a necessity as I was and still am in so much chest pain. Anyone giving or trying to give up smoking needs to try, try , try again as YOU are far more important.

The best time to stop is when you are suffering from the effects of it. Nowt to do with luck, just do it!

Hi cales, I wish you all the luck in the world. I quit almost 6years ago now and it was the best thing I ever did. It was also the hardest thing I've ever did. You KNOW for your healths sake you need to do this, and that there are many health benefits when you do. I used every quit aid on the market all at the same time for the first month (not medically advised) getting to that point I started to cut back. You just need to remember how very very ill they are making you and dig in your heels and go for it. good luck xx

Hi Scales,

I Quit with the help of E.Cigs, that was 3 years ago, It Cleared my Coughing up immediately, the freedom was Immense, My Daughter and Mum in Law also quit by the same method. Now, with Exercise and being positive I know my Body is a lot more Healthy & Fit (ish) apart from the Lungs, which hopefully soon will be replaced. THE outcome is worth every Good Breath you Take. Just wish I had done it sooner . Good Luck, it's worth it. XXX

I did it with an e-cig too Hacienda - smoke-free for going on 8 years now after trying everything up to and including hypnosis. Best thing ever.

cales,

Don't put off what you can do today, the Spanish do it all the time. Put away the cigs now.I had to do it on the day I really felt ill and realized something serious was happening.

Good luck to you anyway, you will feel mentally strong for it.
