Hi

They are usually a standard home concentrator with a extra compressor on top .Take air from outside and cleans and then compressed to fill your cylinder.

I had the Cylinders on Wheels, 2ltr was too bulky,so changed to 1 Ltr, but that only lasted 1 hour, I didn't like the added compressor, it didn't work for me, My Rehab Nurse suggested I went on the Electric Mobile Conserver because I am Active, It is Brilliant and can be plugged in anywhere even in the car, No more Cylinders. Ask your Consultant or Pulmonary Clinic to Refer you. Good Luck Margie x

Hi Jo, Imogen one G2, It doesn't work that way. It's a Plug in, fuelled by Elcectric. I use what I need when out at my Exercise class, sit down exercises I have on 1 Ltr, when i'm moving/walking I increase it to 3 Ltrs. I can take it in the Garden as my House Cabling doesn't reach outside. If I have used it in the day, I plug it in to recharge it to 100%....Then next day it's ready to go if I'm out, If I travel far, I can recharge in the car..So you see the 3 hour capability doesn't matter as it can be charged up all the time, no need for Cylinders any more. Thank you for your wishes re. Trx. xx Carol xx

Just to Warn you all on Oxygen, not all GP's or Nursing staff know of this Mobile Electric Concentrator, My Last Visit to my Lung Consultant with it trailing behind me on wheels was the highlight of her week, She had never heard or seen one before !!! I felt a big Smug. LOL xxx

Who is your NHS oxygen supplier please? I am in the Dolby Vivisol area. There are different suppliers in different parts of the country.

Has to be prescribed through NHS, then my Supplier here in Nottingham is " Air Liquide" based in Newcastle.
