A disgusting tale.

COPD can get you down

It needs watching all the time.

I'm shopping here quite happily

And everything is fine.

I have my usual cough, of course,

Discreetly as I can.

I didn't want to splatter

On the custard or the jam.

I pay up at the checkout

Thinking well that didn't hurt.

Until find that sticky stuff

Stuck to the front of my shirt! (Uck!)

What must all those people

Looking at my snotty shirt,

Thought about the poor old sod

Covered in that dirt.

So that's another problem,

Up with we must put.

But always to remember,

We have a half filled cup. ;-)

This brings back bad memories of a similar supermarket incident in 2015. I had to run out of the shop after sudden massive eruption of gunk into my mouth. Managed to deal with that outside then went back in and bought something for dinner. Relieved that I'd managed to cope with the 'disaster' I came back to the car, feeling pleased. Unlocking the car door, something caught my eye - a small but unsightly blob of gunk on the end of my coat. Mortified angry and really upset but got over it, as there was no other option.

So don't worry Don, you're not the only one :)

Something similar happened with me too! It is distressing but glad I did eventually spot it.

So good to see your post. Yucky, but good. I was just thinking to myself that it was a while since the last one.
