Is there any connection between Radon Gas and IPF?

In America medics seem to accept that there is a link between exposure to radon gasand IPF but in the UK doctors say there is no evidence. We live in an area with very high readings of radon and recorded 6 times the safe amount in our home. We now have a heavy duty pump removing it but had three years unprotected before we knew of any danger.

There appears plenty of suggestions that Radon can be related to lung Cancer. Not found any evidence relating to other lung conditions.

As Stone said there are some suggestions but very little actual research. From what I have seen even with the cancer it's not conclusive in any way and other physical and environmental factors may be linked.

I live in the states and when you sell a house, a radon inspection is done. If it shows over a certain amount (in the basement), you have to have a removal system installed. It's the law.

It's the older homes that you have lived in for years, that have never been tested, but when you go to sell it, it's tested then.

We were told that it is linked to lung cancer.
