This must be seriously worrying for you and I am not surprised that you are struggling.
I know exactly what you mean about asking for a review of your pip because I am in a similar situation. I get the full mobility and low rate care components and I know if things were done properly, I should qualify for a higher rate of pip but, like you, I am afraid that they will take away the awards which I have at the moment and to be honest, I could not survive without those payments.
I know of others in the same position and it is a very sad situation that we are not getting the assistance that we require simply because of a need to fulfil quotas.
If your council has a welfare rights officer, make an appointment to see them and take it from there.
Good luck.
Hi Linny, no wonder you are feeling so low, my Dad had a shadow on his lung and he was terrified. It turned out to be Asthma, so try not to over think, although I know that is easy for me to say.
I suggest you go and tell your GP exactly how you feel and if he would support you by providing a letter for the PIP mobility because he will know of your limitations.
Also, you need to tell him how awful you are feeling mentally and he might prescribe you something for it. Sometimes, we all need a bit of help when suffering severe stress. I couldn't be without my antidepressant, I'd go crazy.
Good luck on the result on your shadow and lump, hopefully, things won't be as bad as you fear. Let us know how you get on. xx
So sorry that you're struggling. Just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you and I hope that everything goes well.
Good luck and take care. XXX
I too was told X-ray showed shadow but it was nodules not Cancer and prob due to infections so please try not to panic. I take anti depressants too we all need help from time to time 🤗
Hello Linny63 . I can understand how worried you must feel. I don't live in the U.K. so I am not familiar with pip. However, it is troubling to think that patients fear asking for a review, worried that their pip could be revoked. I wish it were different for you. Please update us.
Thinking of you.
Cas xx 🌷
Hi Linny63
If its any consolation, my Mother had a shadow on her lungs for many years after suffering TB and she went on to live a very active life until she passed at the age of 80! --from breast cancer.
