This is fascinating and I looked at some of the other links in it.
Apparently in the UK over 70% of people are O+ and A+. B+ is 7%. I am B- which makes up just 2% with the rarest being AB- which is 1%.

I am O- and used to be a blood donor but now I cannot Due to all my drugs now. I can only thank the 6 O- donors that gave me their blood when I needed it one day. It is strange how anyone can have my blood but I can only have Negative
The positives are much more common than the negatives and you are in a small minority with O-.
