Seagulls.

I’m a dedicated seaside man

Have been all my years.

The screeching of the seagulls,

Is like music to my ears.

I love the sea and beaches,

The colourful shops and piers.

The noisy Punch and Judy man.

The donkeys with big ears.

The gulls are under fire now,

For stealing from the guests.

Once they were much admired

They’re now regarded pests.

The sad fact is we took their fish

For humans to devour.

So now they try to take it back,

That’s called ‘seagull power’. (With a few chips please)

This will be my last post. My campervan sailed through her MOT, had a service, been washed, filled with diesel, ready for off. Inside looks a bit like a chemist's shop. Hope you all keep as well as is possible. Bye.

Thank you. I am very lucky, but I would rather have had my wife and only son back which previously prevented me from doing this. 😢

Have a wonderful time ,and stay well . ....We have a small gull that has adopted us .

We call him Sid... He is a black headed gull. He flies and dives at any other gull that comes near the property ,, showing some great air acrobatics , and screeching at them .....to us theres just a gentle sound.

He came last year in all his juvenile feathers. He trots around the lawn and has even come into the patio. So far no mess from him......

PS funnily enough, whilst living by the sea in the south of France a couple of years ago the seagull were silent & I have to say it was bliss!
