Just realized I have COPD many X Ray results of chest said no problem ? Does X-ray not show copd. Should I join local group for advise no medication from my Doctor so far .Advise please Tom

I believe you need a CT scan to fully assess your lung function

My last x-ray was normal, they can show hyperinflation and other thing but a CT scan is more diagnostic. There are a number of other tests required such as spirometry and pulmonary function tests etc. Who told you you had Copd?

any experienced doctor would know if you have copd by an x-ray, as mine did but you would need a spirometery test before he will confirm it.

how can you just realize you have COPD? if your x-rays show your lungs are clear/good , and your doctor says there no problem. where did you get COPD from??😕
