Numbness
Sometimes. It's probably to do with lying on an arm and a nerve getting pinched. It goes off after a few minutes.
I do had that. For a. Long. Time now. It. Eases ff. after. A. Few min.
Do you mean stiffness? If so yes I do. It varies but always there to some extent. Particularly bad today, stiff everywhere and quite hard to get down the stairs. Wearing off now.
Yes, I was dx with carpal tunnel syndrome. I shake my hands and the feeling comes back. Nuisance but not serious. Worth you mentioning it to the doc though.
I sometimes get a dead arm when I sleep on my back with my right arm curled round my head. It seems to make breathing easier. That arm had been badly dislocated many years ago and has never quite got back to normal strength or control.
I wake up most mornings with numbness in my left arm, when I sleep with my arm on a pillow beside me it really helps. I have this for about a year now and sometimes I have difficulty holding a fork. I mentioned it to a doctor and he said it was a nerve in the elbow. He advised not to have surgery if I could help it.
I have this carpal tunnel its when you get pins and needles in the little finger and ring finger. I have pins and needles in all fingers mine is caused by a trapped nerve inn my neck
I've been awake since the early hours, numbness in my two fingers on my right hand.
It can be all of the above but best to see your doc.
My brother in law had this for some time, getting worse, had the odd fall on the golf course. I'm feeling bad because I suggested to see his doc about vitamin B12 deficiency which can cause the symptoms but luckily a fellow golfer told him he'd had the same & it turned out to be cervical myelopathy. Operation in June...... I do stress though that his tingling and numbness were quite bad and ALL day plus the falling over. See your GP if yore worried
I have this almost every morning, and have to keep clenching my fists to get any sort of feeling back, have been wondering about it for ages, but just put it down to bad circulation.
I do xxx 😊
So it seems a lot of ppl suffer with it. I suffered with it years ago after I'd gained considerable weight in a short period of time. An it seem it's the same this time I've gained weight cause of medication an the numbness is back. Off my bipolar meds 3 days now. Not eating much at all so I no the weight will b off in no time I. I sure this will help any breathing problems I'm having. Not sure how my mental health will b. My Dr requested to me to discuss was wrong an y I want to go to a different surgery. So maybe we can have a drink conversation an got back on track. X
hi and why are you of your bi polar meds, does your dc no your not taking them,
Cause they have caused considerable weight gain an I am miserable so they sent doing much no I haven't told him yet that I'm off them. I don't feel I ha e a choice. X
You do have a choice. I know those meds cause weight gain but maybe you would cope better if your bipolar disorder was being treated? Perhaps you can discuss this with your new GP. They can't help you if you don't tell them what's going on, and you definitely need help.
Yes i've had this problem for 3 years had a diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome which I don't think it is I think it's from the shoulder area. However I'm going to doctors again on Thursday I will keep you posted.
I'm on steroids and yes this is a symptom I have developed. ..kind of swelling with pins and needles in the left arm and hand .uncomfortable ...comes and goes all day ....my hand also looks pale so.I think it's poor blood circulation or because.I have put lots of weight on all of a sudden ...I'm. Up 2kg in two weeks !!! Scary ...can't seem to.stop.eating .!!
