Hi everyone. I haven't been on here for a while. I have been very ill with chest infections since December but now showing some improvement. I just wanted to share something with you all.I always have problems filling my car with fuel because of using oxygen 24/7, and not being able to walk far. Shell garages now do an app which can be downloaded on to a smartphone. The app will tell you where your nearest garage is and contact them to make sure they can help. Use the app to tell them you have arrived and someone will come and fill your car. Download the app from app store. It is called Fuel Service and the icon shows a petrol pump with a wheelchair on it.

Help with filling the car with fuel
What a fantastic idea, nice to know there are some companies that thing about disabled people xx😊
Hi
There's also one used by supermarkets, mainly ASDA,Sainsbury's and a few Tesco.
My local as a call button next to the pump if assistance is required.
It's amazing the list of little things that become very difficult if you have dodgy lungs, I am sure most healthy people would be surprised. The app is an excellent idea.
Hello Ray47 . I'm sorry to hear you haven't been doing so great this winter. I hope you are getting steadily better.
And that information about the fuel station is very handy. I didn't know that. Right now I can fill my own tank but in future I may not be able to. Thank you for letting us know.
I think for many of us here it has been a cold, long and trying winter. I hope all of us catch a break when spring rolls around. Do take care of yourself Ray.

I sometimes use shell garage at grimsby, where there is a full time attendant on the forecourt who will assist anyone.
I think Tesco do as well?
Hi caspiana.I am looking forward to spring.Ever hopefull that it's going to be a good one.
Thanks for that stone, there is not a pinpoint garage in my area so I have filled out the form I do hope they are able to do something.
I am on oxygen 24/7 and have been advised to stay in my car at the petrol station, I either have to pip my horn whilst holding my blue badge out of the window until someone asks if they can help or wait for my daughter to come with me.
take care
polly xx
