It's strange how memories come back after 60 odd years as if they happened yesterday, yet I often can't remember what happened yesterday !

We bought my budgie from a stall in Cardiff market, and later a teacher sent me out of school , on the bus, to buy a tortoise for her from the same stall....imagine that happening now. I was late back for Latin and ended up being given hundreds of lines to write.

And they say school days are the happiest.
