Hi. Best avoided are foods containing bicarbonate of soda, such as biscuits and cakes. Best foods to eat are ones rich in potassium, mostly fruit and vegetables. Good source of potassium is bananas. XXX

Another good source of potassium is Apricots, fresh or the dried ones (although they are not really dry but chewy) :)

Chocolates okay....no bicarb in that, lol. If you fancy a cake, you'll have to have a Strawberry tart or a meringue or something. 😆😆😆 XXX

foods like sugar wheat fried foods are not good to eat If you eat a lot of these types of food I find I get acid reflux . The acid reflux goes up in your throat and the gases goes into your lungs and it will irritate your lungs. Plus one thing I have found I drink ginger honey termeric in hot water it seems to keep the phlegm down. I drink it when I start having problems. Drink plenty of warm water and lean toward eating lots of fruit and veg and go easy on the meat for me it causes acid reflux ... Google acid reflux diet
