Hi everyone hope your all good hurt my knee so can't walk very good and struggling to breathe can any one advise me my daughter cares for me quite a lot and I was wondering if she claimed carers allowance would it effect my benefits any advice would help

Hello Pugs-4luv , I am sorry about your knee if it was my knee I've got Comfrey oil for sore bones. I think you can have your daughter as a carer if you are getting the PIP benefit, you can look on line. I don't think it would effect your other benefits , huff
The main difference would be -
When you claim Carer’s Allowance, the person you care for will stop getting:
a severe disability premium paid with their benefits
an extra amount for severe disability paid with Pension Credit, if they get one
Reduced Council Tax - contact their local council to find out if this affects them
