Why has DLA not been paid? Shouldn't just stop! Maybe you got date wrong or checked bank account too early?

With regards other benefit issues. Can't really make any suggestions. This doesn't affect me but I know system is a minefield. Have you spoken with dwp about situation for way forward? Also maybe seek advice from CAB?

definitely the right date iv been borrowing money for food and heating as they stopped paying my esa on the 2 Jan they have ( Bu law so they say ) till the 2 Feb to decide weather to overturn the assessment decision so I really was relying on this money today ....... Hope you get things sorted. You don't need this. Got enough to deal with.

Let us know what they say.

Is beyond me to understand how you can be expected to live on nothing?!

With the DLA, i do know that my daughter-in-laws was a week late on her last payment, so yours could be a mistake, although i had never heard of them "paying late" until this happened. i do hope its sorted quickly as this is something you just dont need. Bless you.

Have you considered speaking to your MP? An acquaintance of mine got great results with a reluctant to pay out benefits office when he contacted his MP.

Also, you can ring the BLF helpline as they have someone specifically for benefits advice. Or contact her via a private message. healthunlocked.com/user/blf...

Hya Leah yea this is all I need ...... Have you got a cab number I could ring please also if I'm on any benefits ( waiting for mandatory thing ) where can I apply for money iv borrowed from family for food and gas x

Hi Mahoney this is awful but unfortunately all too common these days. I hope you are appealing the decision? Make sure you get help from either the CAB or from a disability service in your area.

I can't see how even your DLA has stopped as well as ESA and DLA are 2 separate benefits and not linked to each other. Maybe the payment is just late and a call to the DWP will sort it out?

If you are forced to go to the jobcentre then make sure you tell them of the situation and ask to see the disability advisor. They all have one available.

The other thing you can do is get a letter from your doctor limiting the hours and type of job you might be able to do. I did this when I was forced onto JSA and it gave me some protection from them.

Let us know how you get on. x

If you are going to appeal, you are entitled to claim the equivalent of JSA, without having to sign on ect... until it is resolved. Ring them up and ask for it. xx
