I was admitted to hospital five months ago with pneumonia, after nearly two weeks in hospital, many tests, x-rays, CT scan, more antibiotics than I care to think about and a follow-up appointment I was told that I was infection free.
However, here I am months later still coughing, still exhausted and sore, trying not to get frustrated by the lack of answers from the GP and wondering will this ever end!?!
Has anyone else had similar experiences? Would love to hear from you..

It can take a while get over a big flair up but go with how you feel and get checked up again if your not improving and keep coughing...lots of love glynis
Unfortunately it can take a while to get over a bad infection, if you feel that you're not getting any better go back to the doctor you may still need antibiotics,
I have been in hospital for a week or 2 abdominal still needed to see my gp when I was only home a week and ended up on more steroids and antibiotics. When your immune system is low you catch everything going .
Went down with pneumoniaNew Years Eve 2015 and am still suffering, changes of inhalers causing bad reactions, changes of antibiotics same. Change of Consultant, respiratory nurses has meant no continuity of treatment and every time I think I am getting somewhere I get a reaction to the changed med. feel very sorry for myself and have no idea how to put things right. Sorry to be such a downer but hope it spurs you to push your team.
