Welcome to the site, that's a lovely picture you managed to up load. Try to keep as well as you can, flare ups often take longer to clear up in the winter. Keep warm and if things do not clear in a few days contact the GP or if concerned ring your surgery for advice today.

Welcome to you parson1 . Loved your photo by the way but not loving the fact that you're still feeling unwell. I'm wondering if you were given the usual "rescue pack" of antibiotics and tablet steroids,as these would be a start to making you feel better. If you dont have these, then as advised by katieoxo60 ,@pam1952 and rubyred777 &@etch45 a call to your Doctor is on the cards, especially as colder weather is expected and going out will only make things more difficult etc. Keep us up to date though-wont you?

Hello rtg and welcome to the forum.

I was scared too when I had my first couple of infections and the Anxiety that came with it made my breathing feel much worse.

Mild is very good. Many people in my family have had a nasty, chesty cough for the last 3 weeks or more. I honestly can't believe I haven't caught it off them.

When you get some treatment, it will soon settle down xx

Welcome to our forum rtg. I would advise you speak to your GP or resp nurse & discuss your treatment. Could be you need different meds to control your COPD.

Are you using any preventive inhalers & do you have a rescue inhaler, e.g. Ventolin? Do you have an emergency pack to use if you can't get to the doctor?

You need to eat well, keep warm, exercise, take your meds & above all you must not smoke. If you keep smoking you will only make your condition worse.

Come back & chat to us, we'll help all we can ๐ŸŒผ

That's a pretty full ashtray next to you. If it's yours I suspect you know what you most need to do. Exercise, pulmonary rehab, etc, can follow but stopping smoking is the absolute priority. If it's not yours tell her/him/them to smoke outside!

Hello rtg ๐Ÿ˜Š first you must give yourself extra love ...enough to help yourself... if you smoke please stop, get as much help and support as you can there's plenty out there....nutrition....is so important. Exercise is the key to building your strength and if you can get referred to PR it will help you get yourself into a routine that will help you stay strong enough to fight off any future ailments.

Do that and you could be around for decades! ๐Ÿ˜€ take care, huff xxx

Hello rtg--Just do what Drs tell you--That was hard part for me=---I got to the point I HAD to if I wanted to live--Hopefully you have a compassionate competent medical team who will get you thru this rough spot and then help you maintain some type of quality of life- Believe me all of us afflicted with heart/uing--or heart or lung disease get frightened too....My Dr told me each time I go to hospital it weakens me more so my goal is to stay out of there--I know-"-why me??" and the universe answers--"why not you?"-Good Luck MmeT
