Hi WeeJimmy, Welcome to the site. I've checked many forums out, and without a doubt, this is the best! Seriously, these people will help you with any questions you have. Many have had copd for many years. We share many things on this site. Good times, bad times, jokes, photos, lots of knowledge, health tips, and above all else experience. Look forward to getting to know you. Ruby🌹

Hi WeeJimmy, life sounds hard for you and it must feel awful looking back and seeing what you've lost - I know that feeling. Have you ever been referred to pulmonary rehabilitation? It's a course of exercises and education tailored to the needs of people with copd. it's evidence based for helping people with copd become more active and improving their quality of life. Many here have done the course, me included, and we've all found it very helpful. And you meet others who are in the same situation as yourself.

Your doctor can refer you so give him/her a call and ask about PR if you haven't done it already. Good wishes to you and please do ask us any questions you have. There's usually someone who can help. :)

Hi WeeJimmy and welcome to the forum. I can't really add anything to the excellent advice all ready given but, I will say finding this forum was the best I ever did.

The support is fantastic and the kindness definitely got me out of the deep depression I was in. Stay with us and you will feel much better in yourself, regardless of your limitations. xx

Sounds like Pulmonary Rehabilitation could help you Jimmy. My sympathy about the breathlessness, it's very hard to bear. Is there any reason for you being more breathless at the moment ? Whenever I have an infection in my lungs, I get terribly breathless but when the infection is cleared ( sometimes needing several courses of antibiotics) the breathlessness goes back to very manageable levels. Are there any changes to your meds that you could take ? My apologies if you've already he led out these things but sometimes they're worth checking out. I hope you get some relief and that the breathlessness eases.
