I shall not go far, maybe to Costa to meet a friend on Sunday. Tomorrow, my grandaughter, her fiance and three kids, are coming. Late afternoon, my stepson is coming to help sort out my husband's clothes for the Marie Curie shop. I couldn't have managed without their nurses. I was told that only 7% of sufferers with terminal cancer die at home. It was hard, but I had made a promise to my husband that I would look after him at home.

You gave me a shock there for a minuet I thought you were talking about the Costa Lotta in Spain.

You are a brave person looking after your husband at home. I do not think it will be easy.

Do not go gentle into that good night,

Old age should burn and rave at close of day;

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

better than a frown or a scowl.

But what is a poster to do. I rattle like a tin can with a pebble in it in the real world. I know people who can't wait to talk to me. I also know people who cross the street when they see me coming.... ha ha.

But there is an old Chinese proverb......No likee , no lookee

I'm off to Lakemore Farm Park near between Sandbach and Crewe today - if the rain keeps on hold. We tend to avoid the most popular places on Bank Holidays....

I have never heard of the place you are going to. But if you can get away from screaming children it can't be bad.

There will probably be children there, but if they scream too much the animals won't come to them for petting. Here's the website: lakemorefarm.co.uk/photos/

I would think it is primarily for children not for me i would think.

I was docked in Freemantle in Western Australia. Someone got a day trip out to a snake and lizard farm. Not much petting going on there I can tell you..... ha ha.

We had a lovely time - a pleasant cuppa while waiting for the rain to stop, wandering around the fields with paper bags of maize pellets to feed the animals, feeling glad that we don't have to run the farm (both of our families have farming backgrounds), getting spat at by the friendly llama. It was a pleasant undemanding stroll, with seats about for taking a rest if/when required.
