Hi vittorio I know that if you are disabled you can get a disabled parking place marked outside of your home in the UK but anyone that is disabled can park in it.

We have big parking problems in our street so I for one would really benefit from a

🅿️♿️'Private' Disabled Parking bay.♿️🅿️

Shopping days at the worst when I have loads of bags to carry in taking many trips to and fro. Not helped by being an oxygen user.

I don't agree with 'Private' Disabled Parking bays being used all over the place though. First come first served!!!

I dare say if the authorities clamped down on illegal Blue Badges and illegal Blue Badge use, that would free up more spaces for those entitled to use a Blue Badge.

Happy Parking.

Regards. John

THANKS FOLKS FOR YOUR REPLIES RE; " PRIVATE BLUE BADGE PARKING BAYS " - IF ITS A NICE DAY - I'LL GET ME MOBILITY SCOOTER OUT ! - SAVE ON PETROL ! - PROBABLY BETTER THAN SITTING IN A STUFFY CAR ANYWAY , AND BREATH IN THE GLORIOUS ITALIAN AIR, (SICILY ), WHICH I HAVE TO ADMIT IS A DAM SIGHT CLEANER THAN IN ENGLAND ! ...I ONLY HAVE TO ARRIVE AT ANY OF THE ENGLISH AIRPORTS, - THE MINUET THE AIRCRAFT DOORS ARE OPEN AND I HAVE TO START HITTING THE VENTOLIN INHAYLER WITH A VENGENCE ! - SICILIAN AIR IS FAR BETTER THAN ANY INHAYLER AVAILABLE - TAKE A VISIT FOLKS AND TAKE DEEP BREATHS - YOU'LL BE DANCING DOWN THE ROAD ! ...WELL, NOT QUITE, DANCING, - ! BUT YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN - ALL THINGS ARE RELATIVE ! ..

Hi Hidden you sound a lot like my wife when she sees someone using a disabled bay that shouldn't be. It gets her really annoyed.

I'd be a bit wary putting stickers on people's cars in case they caught you doing it. The sort of person that parks in Disabled spots aren't usually the nicest of people, are they?

If Disabled people started putting stickers on the cars of those parking illegally in Disabled Parking Places don't you think it would alienate the general public against the Disabled. You also have to remember that genuine Disabled people can forget to display their Blue Badge sometimes. We see plenty of people parking without a Blue Badge at Asda but they are the type of person that does it all the time so it's only a matter of time before they get caught and fined.

Hi Hidden "Thanks" for the warning.

If the Parking Wardens checked Blue Badges while you were were still in the car when parking, they would most probably catch a lot of people using them that shouldn't be. I don't think I've had mine checked in the last three years.

You are right. Disability Bays are for Blue Badge holders only but it isn't our job to police them.
