I'm ok at the moment but have regular chest infections of which I have emergency antibiotics at hand so I don't have to keep seeing the doctor. I also have a nurse manager who I see at regular intervals to check my breathing.

Thank you I'm glad I found this very friendly site. I've had COPD for a few years now. I try to live a normal life as possible but realise I have to slow down as I get so out of breath.

Thank you for all your welcome messages. I can see even now what a wonderful and caring site this is. I have had COPD for the last five years self inflicted as I smoked up to thirty cigarettes a day up until then. However I am very lucky as I have a brilliant nurse that is managing my condition. I am on two inhalers one I take twice a day morning and evening and the other is salbutamol will post again soon, once again a big thank you I am so happy that I have found this site. Regards Bobsie.
