Xolair
Hi bmb64,
I have been on Omilizumab (Xolair) for 3 years now, the first thing was I stopped my daily nebulisers and stopped taking uniphyllin.
I have not had any stays in hospital nor visits to my GP for any related asthma problems until this xmas.
I have 4x injections every 4 weeks. When I had the initial injections I had to wait 2 hours to be sure there were no reactions, after that I have to wait 20 minutes and I can leave.
I am still on Salbutamol, Ciclesonide, Formoterol and Titropium inhalers, Montelukast tablets all for asthma and other medication for high blood pressure, acid reflux, and cholesterol and I have no reactions between them.
If you look at the asthma community site then type Xolair into search box you will find a number of posts about this drug Tuckbox 2 seems well informed. I was originally part of the trial for this drug 15 years ago.
