I joined either End November or early December 2015, and never once have I had a problem with the site so I can't say why many do find it so slow on occasion. If it helps, and it probably doesn't, I am with Virgin. I hope someone can provide an solution.

Hi Sian mine is the same. I am forever having to close the window and reopen it because of freezing, specially when I try to go into my notifications. x
The site has not really been working properly for a while now. The problems are around 'notifications'....if I ignore them, I can look through the posts as usual. If I 'open' them, the site freezes and avatars don't match the poster. I can get back to 'normal' only by 'refreshing'. I use an iPad, so I don't know about a laptop, etc. (The site also changes between the old green logo at the top and the white bar at the top..the old green one being the worst 😡)

HU run the site but do not read the messages so all these experiences should really be reported to them so they can try and fix the problem.

Same here Sian. It's reminiscent of when I go on Ryanair website. So many tracking companies following that it slows down transactions so much you get timed out and have to start all over again. Trackers, I wish I could block them - organs HU has sold out to the massive tracking companies, it's a charity after all & needs all the money it can get 😕
I have to refresh every time I want to see my notifications. Takes a lot of time to get through posts.
