Lungs feel like they are turning to stone !!
Hi Carol, sorry but I don't have that feeling in my lungs but it sounds terrible.
My lungs can feel tight after exertion but not what you're describing.
Maybe you should mention this feeling to your GP or consultant & hopefully get some relief for it.
Take care & let us know how you get on 🌺
Im like you Jessy I get this tightening feeling sometimes, and I get frustrated because I don't know how to relieve it, apart from laying on bed and try to relax and pursed breathing.
Id say same as Jessy Carol, and mention it to doctor. xx
Hi carol, I always think we all have similar feelings but the way we describe them is always different. Whenever I stand for to long my lungs always feel like water balloons, filling slowly and feel heavy and long in my back, my throat sometimes feels dry through heavy breathing but it feels like a huge hole in my neck and not enough air can get to my lungs, strange how we feel things the way we do, I had a doc in a&e once tell me after I explained how something felt, there was no such feeling, my answer was " I'm not stupid, and this is how it feels to me, so it is defiantly something " shut him up anyway , but if u don't feel right always mention these feelings to ur gp or consultant. take care xx sonia xx
Hi Sonia, I know exactly where you are coming from whenever I mention my symtoms to a doctor they always look at me with raised eyebrows !! and say "really" !! it infuriates me , but your symptoms sound very like mine. thanks xx Carol
Hi Carol
Can't say I've ever felt that way. Sounds terrible! The only thing I get, is breathing
a little harder when it's humid. Can't even imagine how that feels. Like your lungs can't expand and feel with air?
I would definitely talk to GP.
Rubyxx 😊
Have you ever mentioned this to a gp?
I get what id probably describe in similar terms ( a heavyness in my chest) but mine is because i lack iron and b 12
Do you get any other symptoms?
Go to your GP and ask for a ECG to check your heart beat I had massive pains in my chest I had an ECG and found out I had irregular heart beat I am now waiting to go for an angiogram, im not saying you have this as you did not say you had chest pains only lung pain, any way go for an Xray at least don't leave it to long.
Hope you get better
Steve
