Hi, just a quick question, I have severe COPD, and have developed Sleep Apnea and Angina, my question is over the last 6 months or so I have noticed brown " dirt " like patches on tops of my feet and slightly on my shins!!!!!! They have not disappeared or got any worse, don't itch it's just peculiar and looks like I have walked through a load old dusty dry mud, or not washed my feet for ages!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone else expierenced anything similar?

Best go ask the doc Caroll. I've several auto-immune conditions, one of them being the Vitiligo that Wendells mentioned. The loss of pigmentation can leave you with unsightly brown patches and my feet and hands are worst affected but you need to know for sure as you'll have to remember to protect the surrounding whiter than white skin from the sun.
Hi Carroll, have you been sitting with your feet on the floor for long periods of time? I ask because 3 years ago I had a foot op and was "no weight on" for 3 months and 6 months before I could walk without aid. I noticed shortly after my other leg which I had kept on the floor whilst my operated foot was elevated, had developed dark pigmentation on the foot and above the ankle. I have been told it is because the blood flow on this leg was not good during the 6 month period. Nothing can be done. In your case I would go to the GPs and ask his/her opinion. Good luck and take care. Maximonkey
