I just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful posts after my husband passed away two weeks ago , but I must especially thank Huggs who is always there when we need her . She has been in contact with me regularly since I lost Mike & her messages with additional pictures have been so lovely . I am staying with my daughter at the moment until just before the funeral & my son & his family will of course return from the States. Fortunately they were over here at the time so Mark was able to be with me quite quickly. They both join me in saying how much all the support has meant to us - we'll never forget it . Love , Helen .

You're so right Toci & Wen - it doesn't seem to matter what she is going through in her own life she is always there for us all. Just wish I lived nearer to her & could visit her - we couldn't be much further away - I live in West Wales but I just feel as though I know her . Take care , Helen . x

Hi Helen how awful for you all and I am thinking of you as well and send my love.

I agree Huggs is a very good friend and is always there for us when needed. She has so many problems of her own but has always supported me too. Bless her cotton socks :) x

Thank you so much Cal - everyone has been so kind . I think as a family we are all in a state of disbelief , especially as it was not his Lung condition but a massive heart attack but the Paramedics & Morriston Hospital in Swansea were amazing & I know that everything possible was done . Our son & daughter plus my son in law & daughter in law & our three amazing Grandsons are keeping me going & I know that I am very lucky to have them . x

helen, I was saddened to read about your husband. It is a very, very sad time that you are going through. Your emotions will be all over the place.. You wont know what has hit you BUT very gradually things will get easier to bear. Your life will never be the same again and you will learn to be on your own. It happened to me last December. One source of comfort is to talk to your husband's photo. Another is to try and make yourself busy. Get out each day if you can. Love Pergola X

Thank you all so much - I am staying with my Daughter in Sussex at the moment & my six year old Grandson is keeping me occupied & I get snuggles in the morning . We will go back to Wales on Saturday ready for the funeral on the 8th & our son & his family will be flying back fro Connecticut. I know that I am so lucky to have such wonderful support (including my HU family ) - I really wonder how some people cope if they don't have family to see them through . I hope you have family & friends to support you too Pergola. The worst thing with Mike is that we really didn't see it coming - we always knew that his Lung condition would ultimately be a problem , particularly as it was so rare ,but we really hadn't expected it to be a Heart Attack. Anyway , take care & many thanks again to you all ,Helen .😘
