Just want to sat thank you to all of you for your good luck wishes for the trial. Obviously I'm hoping I get the real thing, but we won't know until the trial has finished. I'm off for the first assessment on Wednesday, so I'll report back after that to let you all know what happens etc.,

I hope you get the real thing too Nikkers, and that you benefit health wise, either way, I admire you for taking part in the trial and I'm looking forward to your reports. xx
Hi Nickers Good luck and keep the jokes coming. I dole them out three at a time. It make my husband smile despite him being (wish I knew how to do the unhappy face)! Kaye x
I am in the same boat. Already accepted for September. This morning finished 7/12 of PR course and feeling good. Yes, placebos would be a real downer. But then, I never expected to get this far and still be allowed to grow older disgracefully!
Good luck to you. But it doesn't mean that when you've racked up your first marathon that you're allowed to stop posting!
Hi Nikkers, I, like several others, must have missed your post about which trial you are on. I am nearing the end of a double blind trial of nebulised Clarithromycin, I've finished the first part when I didn't know whether I was on the real thing or a placebo, after a month off I start on the real thing for definite for a month so I'm anxious to know if it will help me or not. I had a check up at Papworth yesterday and the doctor said my chest was crackly all over and not just in one place as usual so, fingers crossed, I will be O.K. to finish the trial without any more disturbances. The very best of luck to you with your trial. Love Lizzy x
