Out Of Sorts Today...

Haven't felt quite the ticket today...a sort of underlying general lethargy coupled with gasping for air like a stranded goldfish...

But I did drag myself round the garden with frequent stops for a bit of a rest...

The Orange Blossom is out...I asked Himself why he hadn't told me and he said he hadn't noticed it...it's a feckin' great bush smothered in white flowers I said...he agreed it was...then asked me where in the garden is it...

I wrote about the Orange blossom once before on another site and was picked up sharply by someone making the comment that it was actually Mock Orange...so now I always call it the Orange Blossom...just to be awkward.

There is a solitary Fox-Glove just under the shrubs...never seen one in the garden before...it's interesting how plants suddenly appear as if from nowhere when the seeds have probably been lying dormant for ages...there's a Monkshood as well...now that is a plant which is seriously poisonous...looks attractive though. I dug it up I think, from a deserted garden...

And this year has seen the return of the St John's Wort...dozens of plants all over the place...it's a natural remedy for depression but needs to be taken with care. There wasn't one single plant of it last year...

We have some Strawberries ready for eating...I had to practically shoo the Blackbirds away first...I suspect they went straight round the corner and ate the Raspberries...I stuffed the strawberries in my pocket...debated whether or not to go back into the cottage to get a bowl to collect some Gooseberries and sat down by the river instead...

I do hate this rotten horrible disease...when I have to decide if I've enough energy to walk back to get a bowl and then walk back again...sometimes it becomes a serious struggle just to force one foot in front of the other...

But, walking about certainly loosens the gunk lurking in my lungs...it works faster than the Exputex the Doctor prescribed me last week, which tastes seriously yummy but doesn't seem to actually do anything.

After I'd come in again I went on Ancestry for a while...that drove me to utter despair when people were insisting that John had been born in 1430 in Delaware, United States of America...I shout at the laptop...call those responsible bloody ignoramuses...and wonder why on earth I'm bothering...he was born in feckin' Essex for goodness sake...Himself asks me if everything is alright and I mutter under my breath...so he asks would I like a cup of tea.

I joined a site on FaceAche recently for COPD people...they're all a bit soppy...they put daft pictures on of dear little kittens and say Goodnight to everyone when they're signing out...it's all a bit huggy-kissy actually...no harm of course in being huggy-kissy...just not really for me.
