I have a deep voice, it's rather nice better than squeaky or load n harsh or shout!! I just learnt how to project it outwards not inwards so speak up and out!
Hi Kookie, I always had a low and strong voice, partly as i grew up with my mother being deaf and she always encouraged me to "speak out". But since taking Symbicort, and also since having reflux which lots of people of copd get, it has been hoarser. I lost it altogether for three weeks after having pneumonia and now see a speech therapist which is doing wonders, the exercises really work if i remember to do them
My speaking voice had dropped and become more gravelly, even before taking inhalers. But my singing voice still has the full range of C below middle C to C two octaves above, with regular practice.
I have problems with my voice too. Sometimes it's just a bit croaky others it's very quiet.
