Hi all I'm new to this site and glad I found it. I'm emma and 29 years old, five years ago when I gave birth to my daughter 3 months premature I experienced severe ards which docs thought I wouldn't make it well here I am five years on and I'm still struggling with breathlessness and I have 38% scarring on both lungs which makes every day life difficult. I'm on a steroid inhaler and reliever and that's about everything I've been given by my consultant I'm frustrated at the fact that I seem to have been left to just get on with it really, I recently been looking alot into serrapeptase and it's effects and decided to take the plunge and buy some which I've been taken a couple of months I'm yet to feel any major improvements,

Good Morning and welcome to the site! I care for my husband who has severe COPD and suffers with pretty bad breathlessness! He also takes serrapeptase and has done for a number of years with no miracle cure but it certainly helps with his cough and I can tell when he hasnt taken it. We have had the same issues with doctors who tend to think that if you are coping ok - they leave us to it. I cant advise you medically but I would advise you ring the helpline and ask their advise regarding treatments etc. You can call the helpline on 03000 030 555 Lines are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. Take good care, lots of love TAD xx

Hi there thanks for the welcome. I suffered acute respiratory distress syndrome which I ended up in Icu for two weeks on 100% oxygen after my daughter was born. the result is that I now have 38% scarring on the tops of both lungs I do not have a permanent diagnosis if the symptoms I am continuing to suffer, although doctors are treating as having just asthma I feel it's something much more
Asthma Copd go hand in hand from my experience .. I would go back to your doc and tell them theses mades are not doing it for you anymore.
If ya chest is weak you will be as prone to infections as anyone else kids as nice as the are are little germ magnets
Ad defo go back to doc's

Hello, how are you doing?
I was just thinking of you and wondering if you've got good family and friends who understand and are supporting you.
Also I want you to know that it is possible to improve with the right knowledge & the Pulmonary Rehabilitation course is excellent for that. I really hope you can get on one. It will change your life. All the very best to you. P
