A lovely man called Kevin has written a blog post for us about his experience of PR. He talks about getting a goal he thought was unachievable - and reveals whether or not he made it.
I liked Kevin story. Thought it would have been better to relate to if it was a person with copd. Maybe in the near future. Someone from our site would be even better.Don't know if thats a possibility or not. It would definitely be inspirational.
We feature lots of stories from people living with all sorts of different lung conditions. You can look at all our recent COPD stories here: blog.blf.org.uk/topic/copd/
I was diagnosed with COPD 10 years ago I was given a blue inhaler and told to go home no information nothing.
I joined this site last year and read many posts where people had been on these rehab courses so when I had my next lung function test I asked about this course.
I started mine in January I just wish my GP would of sent me to rehab when I was diagnosed I might of looked after myself a little better knowledge is power. We had two parts to our course education and exercise as many know I go swimming so I got more out of the education side and I have to add physiotherapists who took the course were fantastic.
