Good luck with that. I have not had it done but a friend of mine did a couple of years ago. They took out half one lung as it was diseased and impeding the rest of her lungs. She was in hospital for about a week and has been left with a long scar which is fading nicely. She took around 6 weeks at home recovering but the soreness and pain passed eventually. She tells everyone she was bitten by a shark whilst rescuing a child 
Now she is as fit as a fiddle and said the difference is incredible. She is so glad she had it done.
