Last September when i questioned when did my Pulmonary Fibrosis become Idiopathic only to be told don't know, was it when RA attacked my Lungs and took away more than half my Lung space in Jan 2013 don't know, Then I was told I could have all the RA treatments if I had RA before I had Pulmonary Fibrosis. It's got to the stage RA is dictating my life and is becoming unbearable and there must be some treatment even if it affects my Lungs I will try anything,Matt

Now I'm Confused.
Hi Matt, I've read your recent posts about the pain you're suffering from RA abd just wantedto tell you about an acquaintance of ours. She developed RA very suddenly and very severely at around age 60. It was so bad she was bedridden. She has been treated with a cancer drug and is now living a completely normal life. I don't know which drug but could of course find out.
Hi Argana, Thank you it would be great if you could find out for me.matt
Sorry Matt, i know very little about RA or IPF but just wanted to wish you well. Love Mx
Hi Mattcass, are you being treated at one of the ILD expert centres? You could ring the British Lung Foundation to find the one near you if you are not already at one of those centres. They should be able to sort out your RA treatment/management with consideration of your fibrosis. Best wishesxxx
Hi jenss, Thank You although my Lungs are slowly deteriorating they are not the issue at the moment my RA for some reason I am being hit 24/7 with flare ups concentrating on my wrists hands and hips the pain is unbelievable, I am on the strongest painkillers possible without knocking me out completely, Someone has told me their friend is in the same boat and has received a cancer treatment drug and has turned them around they are trying too get the name for me.
Hiya Mattcass, although the pain is unbearable I still think you NEED to go to one of those ILD centres as your lungs will likely keep deteriorating in the background. From what I have heard the ILD centres have the experts to deal with the RA and the lung issues secondary to RA or even IPF. I would strongly advise you to get seen at one of them VERY soon. BLF will be able to point you to one. I wish you all the best and let us know how you goxxxx
